Cellular Manufacturing

Lean manufacturing methodologies include Cellular Manfacturing as one way to address efficiency and quality. Through the use of industrial carts, the parts needed for assembly and the actual base assembly can be easily delivered to cell positions while providing for convenient part organization.  

The above example shows an operator's work cell at a welding equipment manufacturer. Industrial carts are used to deliver the parts to the work cell. The carts also provide the flexibility needed for an individual person to complete the entire assembly of this welding equipment.
